The Haunted Hamburger

IBC Cream Soda bottle on painted bench - Jerome, AZ

Old fashioned film projector - Jerome, AZ

I took these pictures visiting Jerome, Arizona, America's largest ghost town. It's very intriguing and historical, and it's appeal is hugely in its folklore. I ate lunch at an old restaurant built right into the mountainside called The Haunted Hamburger. It had an incredible view, awesome food, and a fun story about ghosts and missing hammers. I was fascinated by the antiquity of the place. We build things now to do it faster and better; our tools are more efficient, our materials higher quality, the final product slimmer, lighter, cooler. Technology seems infinite. But we hold onto the old. It tells us who we've been and the evolution of who we've become. I love the beauty in our past.

  1. I think The Haunted Hamburger is a fantastic title for a restaurant and would love to eat there. These pictures are also very captivating. I find it hard to look away. You have a great eye for art, which I suppose is good, considering it's your major ;).
